Our Insignificance
The author of the book of Hebrews quoted Psalm 8 when he asked, "What is man, that remember him? Or the son of man, that visitest him? "(Hebrews 2: 6). In our arrogance, realizing the primacy of humans over the plants and animals that inhabit this planet, it is easy to forget our smallness. But anyone who believes that we are creatures needs to reflect on the greatness of the Creator. Just thinking about it should humiliate us! In this book the author was trying to encourage people to stay firm and ask people to not go back in their old practice and show that Jesus is bigger. Man may even think that above the insignificant would find some important. Would not the rich and powerful catch the attention of God, even if the rest of the human population did not matter?
