Achieving Sustainability

Yesterday I was Sitting in my desk and someone gave me an article about sustainability. I confess I hear a lot about sustainability but I couldn't define it,
The text Started describing sustainability as a combination of three factor (environment, Society and economy). the way we treat the environment(earth) has a huge impact in our community and our economy.  In practical way they described sustainability has a way to protect the environment, creating conditions so the future generations may also use it without problem.
The text states that the word sustainability came out in 1987 in the United Nation environment commission and was described as using the present without compromising the next generation.
As soon as I received that paper I started thinking how companies can internally sustainable for their employees.
I started thinking how to create one company for the current employee but also for the future employee, a company where the current employee can share the same goal that the top management have, then I realized that the three key factors presented above are also here applied (Environment, Economy and society).
Environment – without a good internal environment companies are treading for the failure, no one like to work in one tough environment and no one will give good recommendation for a company where employees are fighting each other.
Economy – companies must understand that if they don’t provide good remuneration for their employee, will be hard to achieve internal sustainability, this is how things work, no one like to work in one company where people are struggling for feed themselves, so companies should think not only in the profit but also how their satisfied are their employees.
Society, here the society is the company and if the company want grow they have to combine the three factors otherwise they may face a lot of difficulty.
